DWC provides advice to farmers, landowners and community groups to identify the current conservation value of their land holdings and the potential ways to manage and enhance the land for wildlife. We can tailor our work to the needs of the landowner and available budget. Our projects have included:

  • Habitat monitoring and management plans for Woodland Trust and National Trust sites
  • Landowner advice for large scale bat conservation projects
  • Advising local councils on creating a Jubilee Meadow, creating wetland and managing habitats for wildlife
  • Surveying and providing a Habitat Management Plan for a community orchard
  • Habitat management advice, wildflower seeding, strimming and weed control of Culm grassland
  • Management advice for a number of community woodlands in order to benefit wildlife whilst creating community features such as trails and woodland school
